Vapor Tight Light Assembly
1) Turnoffthepoweratthemainfuseorbreakerbox.
2) Threadwiresthroughwireglandandbackcoverwirehole.
3) ConnectthewirestothewireterminalLtoL,NtoNthen
fastenthewiregland.
4) AttachtheLEDtubestothelampholder.
5) Putthetubexingboardinthebackcover,xingpoles
throughtheboard’sholes.Thenturnaroundtheheadof
xingpoles90ºtoxtheboardtobackcover.
6) Usethelensandbackcoverclipstoattachlens
tobackcover.
7) Usethewallxingclipstoxthelightxturetowall.
8) Turnonpoweratmainfuseorbreakerbox.

conditions.Inaddition,lightningsurgesorloadswitchingtransients(originatingoutsidethebulb)cancreatevoltagespikesorringwaves
thatcanstressandultimatelydamagecomponentsandrenderthextureinoperable.GiventhatthevaluepropositionforLEDbulbsis
notonlylowerenergyusage,butlongerlifetimes,itwillbecrucialthattransientvoltageprotectionistakenintoaccounttoeliminateeld
failuresdrivenbytheelectricalenvironment.
Ensurethefollowingstepsaretakentodecreasethechanceofdamagefromshortcircuitsandoverloadconditions:
1. Donotusemechanicaltimersorcontactorstoswitchonthelamp.Thesecontactsareknown
toproducevoltagespikeswhicharedetrimentaltothecircuitryofthelamp.
Itisrecommendedtouseasolidstaterelaytoprovidepowertothexture.
2. Replaceoldcircuitbreakers,ascorrodedcontactsonboththebusbarandinternalcontacts
ofthebreakercancausedestructiveelectricalspikes.
3. Useasurgeprotectiondevice(SPD)spanningbothLine,NeutralandGround.
ThesedevicescontainMOV’s(ametaloxidevaristor)whichcanhelpprotecttheLEDbulbfrom
overvoltagesurgesandring-waveeffectsbyclampingshort-durationvoltageimpulsesasshownindrawing.
